Public Sector People (PSP) are working closely with a council in the southeastern suburbs to recruit a Governance Admin Officer for a 3-month temporary contract.

The Opportunity: In this role, you will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Governance and Legal team. You will play an important part in assisting with civic events, ensuring councillor expenses and allowances are processed accurately, and supporting the department’s financial and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist with administration tasks related to civic event organisation
- Process councillor expenses and allowances in line with reporting requirements
- Draft and prepare departmental correspondence as required
- Manage financial transactions including purchase orders, invoices, and card payments, ensuring compliance with policy and budget requirements
- Co-ordinate internal meetings including room bookings, catering, AV and set-up
- Provide diary management support to the Manager Governance and Legal
About You: - Previous experience in a similar function within local government
- Demonstrated experience providing governance support in a professional environment
- Proficiency with Doc Assembler
and Oracle Finance

- Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to undergo a police check
