Public Sector People is seeking a talented FP&A Analyst to join a Financial Planning & Reporting team within a large, metropolitan Sydney Council.

Contract info:
  • 6-month contract - start in April
  • $72ph + super
  • 37.25hrs/week
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to strategic financial decision-making within a complex and dynamic organisation.

In this role, you will partner with business units across the organisation to provide insight-driven financial analysis and support strategic planning and reporting.

Key responsibilities include:
• Partner with business units to analyse financial performance and identify risks and opportunities
• Deliver monthly reporting and contribute to the Long Term Financial Plan
• Build and enhance financial models (ideally using OLAP tools)
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards that translate financial data into meaningful insights

About You: To be successful in this role you will bring strong financial planning and analysis experience, along with the ability to communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders.

You will have:
CA or CPA qualification
• Strong FP&A and business partnering experience
• Advanced analytical capability and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Strong Power BI skills and experience with enterprise-level financial modelling
