Public Sector People are working with a council in Sydney who are searching for a Finance Management & Systems Coordinator to join them ASAP on a contract.
3–6-month contract
$85-$100ph + super

This is a hands-on role with real influence, supporting both day-to-day operations and longer-term financial planning.
The Role You’ll take ownership of key finance functions while also driving improvements across systems and processes. This includes:
- Coordinating and consolidating Council’s annual budget and long-term financial plan
- Delivering monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting (IP&R aligned)
- Managing fixed assets, GST & FBT compliance
- Overseeing financial systems administration and supporting users across Council
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Leading and developing a small team
About You You’ll bring a mix of technical finance expertise and systems capability, along with the confidence to engage across the business.
- CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Must have previous management/team lead experience
- Strong experience in budgeting, financial reporting and analysis
- Background in finance systems / ERP administration
- Experience with fixed assets, GST & FBT
- Local government experience highly regarded
Exposure to TechnologyOne, Magiq or Pathway will be highly advantageous.
