Finance Business Partner – Assets Regional South East Melbourne | $58–63 p/hour + super | 3-month temporary contract
Please note: This role is located 50kms east from Pakenham, 80kms east from Springvale. This role is not
fully remote, hybrid work arrangements are available. Start and end times may be negotiable. We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner – Assets to support our local government client in the South East during a busy period. This is a full-time, 38-hour per week role, offering hybrid work arrangements and an immediate start.
This opportunity will see you play a critical role in supporting Council’s finance and asset management functions. Working closely with the Infrastructure and Community Infrastructure teams, you’ll ensure asset data is accurate, aligned and reconciled, and contribute to financial reporting and forecasting processes.
Key responsibilities include: - Reviewing asset valuation methodologies across asset classes, and performing asset journals and reconciliations.
- Maintaining the finance asset register and ensuring alignment with the infrastructure asset register and general ledger.
- Supporting the development and review of the Annual Budget and Quarterly Budget Review process for both operating and capital expenditure.
- Partnering with project managers to monitor capital project progress and assist in reconciling income and expenditure.
About you: - Experience in local government, NFP, education, or healthcare finance environments.
- Proven skills in fixed asset management, including reconciliation and reporting.
- Proficiency with TechOne/FinanceOne is desirable.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA qualified, or working towards accreditation.
