Reporting to the Director, Planning, Sustainability & Compliance, the Executive Manager, Compliance will lead a broad and diverse regulatory function spanning Building Services, Environmental Health, Ranger Services and Parking Enforcement. This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic regulatory operations, influence organisational outcomes and deliver high-quality services to the Waverley community.

Why This Role Exists As Council continues to evolve its regulatory and compliance capability, this role will provide strategic leadership across a complex operational portfolio, ensuring effective regulatory services, strong legislative oversight and responsive community outcomes.
What You’ll Do - Lead strategic regulatory operations across Council’s Compliance function
- Oversee complex matters across Building, Environmental Health, Ranger and Parking Services
- Provide executive leadership across legislative compliance and regulatory enforcement
- Partner with executives, government agencies and the community on high-profile matters
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across a large and diverse operational environment
- Contribute to strategic organisational priorities and executive decision-making

What You Bring - Significant senior leadership experience within compliance, regulatory or enforcement environments
- Strong knowledge of legislative compliance and regulatory frameworks
- Experience leading complex operational portfolios within politically sensitive environments
- Strong communication, negotiation and executive influencing skills
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and operational service delivery
- Strong operational, financial and organisational management capability
