Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for an Executive Assistant.
Contract: 12 months | Immediate Start
Hourly Pay Rate: $50 - $60 p/h + Super
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate management team meetings and related activities
- Oversee the day to day operation of the Councillors Hub
- Support managers with quarterly reporting requirements
- Contribute to developing and implementing divisional and departmental policies, procedures and systems
- Manage cross‑divisional correspondence and respond to customer enquiries
- Proven experience delivering high‑quality customer service
- Strong skills across Windows-based applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and database systems
- Ability to use software and digital tools in a proactive, resourceful and solution‑focused way
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Strong document preparation and word‑processing capabilities
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Confident in researching and analysing complex issues with a creative, solutions‑driven approach
Essential:
- 2+ years experience in an administration support role within local government or working in a politically sensitive environment
- Previous experience with TechOne, Content Manager/TRIM, Authority or Pathway highly regarded
