This is a great opportunity for an experienced electrical professional to play a key role in supporting technical capability, training and competency across electrical, ITS and civil electrical disciplines.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate technical training and competency activities across electrical, ITS and civil electrical disciplines.
  • Develop and maintain training plans, competency records, learning resources and assessment evidence.
  • Support the delivery of civil electrical training, including knowledge transfer and practical learning activities.
  • Provide coaching, technical guidance and competency support to apprentices, trainees, electrical workers, project managers and supervisors.
  • Assist with identifying capability gaps and developing appropriate training and competency pathways.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Electrical Training Centre, including training schedules, technical resources and competency programs.
  • Support succession planning and the development of specialist technical capability.
  • Promote safe, compliant and high-quality electrical practices across operational environments.
  
Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced Electrical Mechanic who combines strong technical electrical knowledge with an interest in training, coaching and developing others.
  
You will ideally have:
  • A current and valid Queensland Electrical Work License – mandatory.
  • Current C Class Driver License.
  • Previous experience delivering electrical safety or technical training within civil construction, electrical construction or maintenance environments.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety, competency and technical requirements.
  • Experience providing coaching, mentoring or technical guidance to electrical workers, apprentices or trainees.
  • Experience conducting electrical safety and quality audits and/or supporting formal workplace investigations is highly desirable.
  • Qualifications or demonstrated experience in workplace health and safety, auditing or incident investigation will be advantageous.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a current equivalent qualification suitable for the required training and assessment activities, is desirable.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
