We are looking for an experienced
Drainage Engineer

About the Opportunity
In this contract role, you will play a key part in supporting drainage engineering functions across a diverse range of projects. You will liaise closely with residents, ratepayers and internal stakeholders to resolve drainage and flooding concerns, while providing timely and accurate engineering advice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with residents, ratepayers and stakeholders to resolve drainage and flooding issues.
- Providing information and processing DBYD Service and Legal Point of Discharge (LPOD) requests.
- Delivering technical support and advice to senior engineers, construction engineers and the Unit Manager Engineering Services.
- Offering engineering advice to the public regarding infrastructure-related enquiries.
- Maintaining accurate records for LPOD, OSD and DBYD applications and approvals.
- Reporting regularly on drainage projects, LPOD assessments and DBYD services.
- Supporting customer service functions relating to drainage and general enquiries.
- Assisting with both planning and delivery stages of drainage-related capital works, including MP2 documentation, permit applications, hearings, survey coordination and concept design.
- Organising accurate field and CCTV surveys to support design and plan checking.
- Preparing drainage designs, CAD plans, estimates, schedules and tender documentation in line with standards and design briefs.
