Public Sector People are currently partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for Design Engineer ( Roads).

Position: Design Engineer (Roads)
Contract length: Initial 6 months with view to extend
Pay rate: $85 p/h + Super

Survey, investigate, prepare and review design plans, estimates and alternate options for a variety of civil engineering projects including road, kerb and gutter, footpath, stormwater drainage, traffic facilities and carparks
Negotiate and attend meetings with public utility authorities, government authorities, private organisations, property owners, community groups and others regarding a wide range of design activities
Carry out civil design for road and traffic assets, and review external civil designs.

Essential Requirements:

Degree in civil engineering or related field with minimum 5 years experience
12D skills, AutoCAD experience in road and drainage design
Significant post qualification experience in survey, investigation and design including
estimates for roads, traffic facilities, stormwater drainage and other civil engineering projects
Current class C driver’s license
