Design Engineer

Public Sector People are partnering with an Australian government organisation to recruit for highly skilled Design Engineer for a 6 months contract.
  
Contract: 6 months with potential to go permanent
Competitive hourly rate: $65 - $80 + Super depending on experience
  
Responsibilities: 

• Prepare high quality civil design and construction drawings for development with an emphasis on road and storm water drainage design in response to council’s public needs and relevant
• Providing engineering advice on technical matters to senior staff and other stakeholders. 
• Developing road and pavement designs, Designing stormwater drainage and flood mitigation works, Designing traffic management plans and facilities, Designing retaining walls and other structures, and Undertaking site investigations and surveys. 

Essential:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a local council is required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, 12D or TUFLOW
