on a 12-month contract basis.

About the Role:
As Cyber Security Coordinator, you will lead the development, delivery, and governance of the organisation's cyber security program. Working collaboratively across IT and business units, your role will focus on embedding security best practices, responding to incidents, and driving a strategic approach to cyber resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive cyber security strategy and roadmap
- Lead organisational change programs related to cyber security
- Manage and respond to security incidents, including forensic investigations
- Provide guidance and support on cyber security governance and compliance
- Communicate risks, trends, and technical issues to internal stakeholders and senior leadership
- Oversee relevant cyber security projects to enhance the organisation’s overall posture
- Degree in Information Technology or related field
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, frameworks, and regulations
- Proven experience implementing cyber security programs and strategies
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex change programs
- Strong incident management and forensic investigation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Project management expertise
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC)
- Local government experience
- Long-term 12-month contract
