Public Sector People are working closely with a council in the northern suburbs to recruit a Customer Service Officer for a 6-month temporary contract.
Position: Customer Service Officer
Duration: 6 months
Part Time: 25 hours per week (over 5 days)
Location: Northern Suburbs
Rate: $36.09 per hour + Super
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate information and support to customers in person, over the phone, and via email, while ensuring all interactions remain confidential and respectful.
- Manage enquiries, service requests, complaints, and transactions effectively, using strong communication and problem-solving skills to deliver positive outcomes.
- Contribute to the Call Centre’s Key Performance Indicators, achieving both Call Centre and individual performance targets.
- Work across multiple sites
Criteria:
- Customer Service experience in a call centre/ high inbound call environment and face to face.
- Ability to engage empathetically with customers with emotionally charged issues.
- An understanding of cashiering processes for reconciliation and balancing of financial transactions.
- Bilingual candidates will be highly regarded.
- Government experience is highly regarded.
