Perth | Full-Time Temporary Opportunity | Immediate Start

We are seeking experienced Customer Service Officers to join a purpose-driven organisation based in Perth. These are full-time temporary opportunities for customer service professionals who are confident managing a high volume of enquiries while providing respectful, professional and empathetic support.

As a key point of contact, you will assist customers via phone and email, respond to enquiries, provide accurate information, maintain confidential records and support the wider team with administration and data entry.

This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is highly organised and can manage sensitive or challenging conversations with professionalism and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a first point of contact for customers via telephone and email
  • Respond to a high volume of enquiries and provide accurate, timely information
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service across every interaction
  • Manage sensitive or challenging conversations using sound judgement, empathy and effective de-escalation techniques
  • Escalate complex enquiries to the appropriate team members
  • Build positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Accurately enter, update and maintain information across internal systems
  • Process applications, documentation and correspondence with a high level of accuracy
  • Maintain confidential electronic records and ensure information is current and complete
  • Provide general administrative support, including document management, scanning, filing and data entry
  • Assist the wider team with additional administrative duties as required
About You

To be successful, you will bring:
  • Previous experience in a customer service or call centre environment
  • Confidence managing a high volume of inbound enquiries
  • Strong administration and data entry skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience responding to customer enquiries via both phone and email
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to remain calm, professional and solutions-focused when managing difficult conversations
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • A high level of integrity, discretion and commitment to confidentiality
You will be friendly, approachable and resilient, with the ability to build rapport quickly and provide a positive customer experience. You will also demonstrate cultural awareness and a respectful, inclusive approach when supporting people from diverse backgrounds.

Experience working within community services or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded, as will experience using CRM or client management systems.
