Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for an Customer Service Officer.
Contract: 2 months | Immediate Start
Hourly Pay Rate: $40 - $43 p/h + Super
Responsibilities:
- Respond to high‑volume inbound calls from the community, providing accurate information on council services, regulations, and processes.
- Log enquiries, requests, and service complaints in council systems, ensuring all details are recorded correctly and actioned.
- Assist customers with applications, bookings, and payments, including waste services, permits, and general council enquiries.
- Liaise with internal departments to follow up on customer requests, escalate urgent matters, and provide timely updates.
- Deliver a professional and community‑focused service, resolving issues where possible and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Essential:
- 2+ years experience in an administration support role within local government or working in a politically sensitive environment
- Previous experience with TechOne, Content Manager/TRIM, Authority or Pathway highly regarded
