Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for an Customer Service Officer.
Contract: 3 months | Immediate Start
Hourly Pay Rate: $37 - 47 - p/h + Super
Responsibilities:
- Responding to high-volume inbound calls from residents regarding rates, waste services, permits, and general council enquiries
- Logging requests and resolving issues using council systems such as Pathway, TechOne, or CRM platforms
- Providing accurate information on council policies, processes, and upcoming services or events
- Escalating complex matters to the appropriate internal teams and following up to ensure timely resolution
- Processing service requests, payments, and bookings while maintaining high levels of professionalism and customer satisfaction
Essential:
- 2+ years experience in an call centre or customer service role within local government or working in a politically sensitive environment
- Previous experience with TechOne, Content Manager/TRIM, Authority or Pathway highly regarded
