Corporate Planning & Performance Partner

Melbourne’s Western Suburbs | 5-Month Contract (March – August 2026) | Hybrid Working Model | $60 to $65 per hour + super

 
A local council in Melbourne’s west is seeking an experienced Corporate Planning & Performance Partner to join their team on a 5-month temporary contract.
 
You will join a small team of three that works closely with the Customer Experience team to deliver key components of the council’s Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework.
 
This role has been created to provide additional short-term resourcing to support a busy period of work and help deliver several key reports and strategic documents.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with development and delivery of key corporate planning documents, including:
    • Organisational Strategy 2026–2030
    • Final report for the Organisational Strategy 2022–2026
    • Annual Report 2025–2026
  • Contribute to corporate reporting, including quarterly Council Plan reporting and Community Satisfaction Survey reporting
  • Support service planning and service review processes
  • Participate in community engagement activities to inform planning and reporting
  • Undertake data analysis and performance reporting
 
About You
  • Previous experience in a corporate planning or performance role within a Local Council (non-negotiable)
  • Strong report writing and document development skills
  • Understanding of local government planning and reporting frameworks
  • Ability to work with data, reporting and organisational performance metrics
