well-regarded local council
in Melbourne's inner suburbs to recruit an experienced
Corporate Planning & Performance Advisor
for an initial 2 month contract to provide leave cover.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a well-established team and contribute to several high-profile organisational workstreams. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering executive reporting, corporate planning and performance analysis, with the
monthly CEO Report and Annual Report
forming a major focus of the position.
About the Role
Reporting into a supportive leader, you'll work across a range of strategic planning and performance initiatives, partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver accurate reporting, meaningful insights and high-quality corporate documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the monthly CEO Report, coordinating the process from end to end.
- Contribute to the preparation and delivery of the Annual Report and other corporate reporting requirements.
- Coordinate the team's work planner, ensuring priorities and deliverables remain on track.
- Analyse organisational data and performance metrics, transforming information into meaningful insights to support executive decision-making.
- Prepare reports, dashboards and planning documentation for senior leaders.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support business planning, corporate performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
We're looking for someone who is confident, proactive and able to step into the role with minimal direction. You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in corporate planning, performance reporting, business analysis or a similar strategic role.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to extract, interpret and present information in a meaningful way.
- Excellent written communication skills, particularly in preparing reports for executive audiences.
- The confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
- A calm solutions-focused approach, with sound judgement and the ability to work independently.
- Experience within Local Government will be highly regarded, however candidates from other complex organisations with strong reporting, planning or analytics backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
