Public Sector People are working with a Council in Northwest Sydney who are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Corporate Planner to play a key role in the preparation, monitoring and reporting of Council’s Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) framework.
ASAP Start role3-month contract - likely to extend$60ph + super
This is a part-time position for up to 4 days per week (negotiable for right candidate).This position is responsible for supporting the development and ongoing review of Council’s
Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, Operational Plan and Annual Report, while acting as the organisational administrator and champion for Council’s
Performance Reporting System.
Key Responsibilities include: - Maintain and enhance Council’s Performance Planning software and system processes in line with legislative reforms and organisational needs
- Coordinate and communicate quarterly performance reporting requirements across Council
- Prepare, review and improve performance reports for senior management and Council
- Assist with the development, review and submission of the Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, Operational Plan, Resourcing Strategy and Annual Report
- Support senior management workshops related to Integrated Planning and Reporting
- Develop and implement quality assurance and continuous improvement processes for performance data and reporting
Essential Criteria: - Local government experience is essential
- Previous experience in Corporate Planning, Integrated Planning and Reporting, Corporate Project Management, Project Support in local government is ideal.
- Sound knowledge of Integrated Planning & Reporting requirements in a local government context
- Understanding of statutory reporting requirements in local government
- Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of database operations
