The Asset Management Unit plays a key role in ensuring investment decisions are informed, evidence-based and aligned to Council's long-term vision.
About the Role
Reporting to the Unit Manager, the Coordinator Asset Management Planning & Financials leads a team of three Asset Lifecycle Planners, providing leadership across Council's strategic asset planning, renewal programming and financial asset management.
Working alongside the Coordinator Strategic Data Capture, who leads asset data, systems and governance, this role translates asset information into long-term planning and investment decisions that support Council's financial and service delivery objectives.
Partnering with stakeholders across the organisation, you will provide strategic advice, support long-term financial planning, and drive continuous improvement to help Council make informed, sustainable investment decisions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise, commercial thinking and leadership to shape the future of Council's infrastructure portfolio.
About You
You are an experienced asset management professional with a background in lifecycle planning, financial asset management and long-term infrastructure planning within a local government or asset-intensive environment.
You have experience developing Asset Management Plans, renewal programs and long-term financial strategies, and can confidently translate technical information into practical recommendations. Comfortable working across engineering, finance and operational teams, you build trusted relationships and provide sound advice to support informed decision-making.
A collaborative leader, you enjoy developing people, improving processes and working across the organisation to deliver sustainable outcomes for the community.
