We are looking for a
Compliance Systems Advisor
to join a progressive local council based in Inner Melbourne. This opportunity will suit a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working across systems, data and governance to strengthen organisational compliance frameworks.
Working closely with the Corporate Strategy and Policy Advisor, you will support the development and maintenance of a compliance tracking system using
Microsoft SharePoint Lists and Power BI. This system will help ensure the organisation can effectively monitor and report on its legislative and regulatory obligations.
In this role, you will assist with building and maintaining a SharePoint-based compliance register, including data entry, quality assurance and migration of compliance information. You will also contribute to the creation of
Power BI dashboards and reports
that provide clear visibility of compliance status for the Executive Leadership Team and Audit and Risk Committee.
Alongside this work, you will support broader organisational initiatives including the
Policy and Strategy Uplift Project
and the development of a
Human Resources compliance framework. This is a great opportunity to work across governance, policy and systems while helping strengthen compliance capability within a collaborative council environment.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience working within Local Government, Healthcare, Education, Not-for-Profit, or State/Federal Government
- Approximately 2–3 years’ experience in a relevant compliance, governance or systems role
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and Power BI
