Public Sector People is partnering with a local council to find a passionate Community Engagement Officer to join their team on a contract basis.

Do you have a passion for community engagement and a desire to make a real difference?

In this role, you will:

Assist with the execution of a major council campaign.
Prepare e-newsletters, promotional material and collateral.
Schedule and facilitate events such as Pop-Up community engagement sessions.
Support implementation of community engagement plans and activities.
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

We are looking for someone with:

A tertiary qualification in public relations, social science, communications or a relevant field (or equivalent working experience)
Experience in developing and implementing Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plans
A proven track record of monitoring and evaluating engagement outcomes to draw valuable insights
Experience working within local government and IAP2 certificate is highly desirable
