Public Sector People is partnering with a local council in Sydney to recruit for an experienced Community Engagement Officer to join their team on a contract basis.

In this role, you will:

Play a key role in developing and implementing engaging communication strategies
Contribute to the development and delivery of Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plans
Manage and monitor engagement activities, ensuring effective communication across all channels
Analyse and evaluate engagement outcomes to measure success and inform future strategies
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

Do you have:

Proven experience in community engagement, consultation, and communications.
IAP2 certificate
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work with diverse communities, showing cultural awareness and empathy.
Project management and research capabilities.
