Are you an experienced leader in civil maintenance looking to make a real impact in your local community? This local council is seeking a Civil Work Maintenance Coordinator to join their Infrastructure Services team and help deliver vital maintenance and minor capital works across the region’s civil and park infrastructure.
 

About the Role
In this leadership position, you will coordinate the delivery of maintenance and operational services for civil infrastructure including roads, drainage, bridges, and coastal assets.


You will manage budgets, deliver minor capital works, respond to emergency and disaster management events, and ensure a high standard of safety, compliance, and community-focused service delivery.
  
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead the Civil Works and Maintenance team to deliver high-quality services to the Noosa community.
  • Manage and deliver maintenance programs, minor capital works, and renewal projects across roads, bridges, and drainage infrastructure.
  • Monitor and improve work practices to ensure efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage annual work plans, budgets, and performance reports.
  • Prepare and manage contracts, quotations, and tender documentation.
  • Provide timely and professional technical advice to internal teams, elected members, and the public.
  • Contribute to disaster response efforts and participate in after-hours operations when required.
  • Maintain a safe and environmentally compliant work environment and actively manage risk.
  
  
The Successful Candidate
  • Proven leadership experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in civil maintenance, ideally within local government or similar environments.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in maintenance and construction of civil infrastructure such as roads and drainage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, multiple projects, and deliver results within deadlines and budgets.
  • Experience managing team performance, resources, and service delivery outcomes.
  • Sound computer literacy and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to respond to after-hours emergencies and disaster events.
  
  
Required Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in civil maintenance and construction, civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • General Safety Induction (Construction Industry White Card), or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
  • Current “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
  
  
Highly Regarded
  • RPEQ or NER accreditation.
  • Asset Management or Maintenance Planning qualifications.
