Senior Change Analyst - State Government

Public Sector People are partnering with a state government department to recruit an experienced Senior Change Analyst for a temporary three-month contract!
As a Senior Change Analyst, you will drive organisational improvement through hands-on coordination and delivery of change activities that build readiness, support adoption, and strengthen engagement. Working closely with project teams, embedded consultants, and stakeholders, you will embed sustainable change across a high-performing division.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to: - Plan and coordinate change activities:
Develop and implement change strategies, track timelines and deliverables, and maintain key change artefacts such as stakeholder maps, readiness checklists, and impact assessments.
- Support stakeholder engagement:
Identify impacted stakeholders, assist with engagement planning, prepare communications and briefing materials, and monitor feedback channels for escalation.
- Manage communications and training:
Draft and maintain communication materials, coordinate and deliver training activities, and maintain engagement registers, training records, and change tracking dashboards.
- Assess change impact and readiness:
Facilitate change impact assessments, monitor business readiness indicators, and track benefits, resistance themes, and user feedback.
- Reporting, documentation, and other duties:
Prepare reports and status updates for governance forums, maintain accurate change records, contribute to lessons learned, and undertake other duties as required.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience: - Experience delivering and/or certification in change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).
- Demonstrated experience in business transformation and change projects, ideally in government or large/complex organisations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholder engagement experience.
- Highly organised with attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
Desirable: - Qualifications in Business, Communications, Psychology, or a related field.
