We are looking for an experienced Capital Planning Master Scheduler to join our client on a 6-month contract, playing a key role in shaping and coordinating a long-term capital works pipeline.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and highly organised capital planning professional to make a tangible impact across a complex portfolio of infrastructure, renewal, upgrade and growth projects. You will work collaboratively across the organisation to develop an integrated 10-Year Capital Works Program, helping ensure investment decisions are evidence-based, strategically aligned and deliverable.
The Opportunity
As Capital Planning Master Scheduler, you will be responsible for the development, coordination, maintenance and continuous improvement of the organisation's 10-Year Capital Works Program.
You will bring together asset management, service planning, project delivery, funding and financial considerations to establish a clear and prioritised capital investment pipeline. Your work will directly support informed decision-making, resource planning, funding advocacy and the successful delivery of infrastructure outcomes for the community.
Key responsibilities will include: - Leading the annual development and ongoing review of the 10-Year Capital Works Program.
- Maintaining a prioritised pipeline of renewal, upgrade, compliance and growth projects.
- Coordinating project submissions and assessing alignment with strategic objectives.
- Facilitating program review workshops with internal stakeholders.
- Developing program scenarios to support funding, staging and investment decisions.
- Establishing and maintaining an integrated master schedule covering planning, design, approvals, procurement and delivery.
- Identifying critical paths, project dependencies, resource constraints and delivery risks.
- Translating Asset Management Plans into long-term capital investment programs.
- Preparing reports, dashboards and briefing papers for management, executive leadership and Council.
- Developing capital planning databases, schedules, forecasting tools and performance reporting.
- Providing expert advice on capital planning methodologies and prioritisation frameworks.
