Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for an Business Support Officer.
  
Contract: 3 months| Immediate Start
Hourly Pay Rate: $45 p/h + Super
  
Responsibilities: 
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and business support to the team, ensuring the smooth coordination of day-to-day operations.
  • Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes and distributing meeting documentation.
  • Maintain and manage meeting records, action registers and follow-up items.
  • Prepare, format and update reports, correspondence, presentations and other business documentation.
  • Review and update existing documentation, including safety-related materials, to align with Council's branding and formatting requirements.
  • Coordinate health and wellbeing events, including organising logistics, managing registrations and booking staff attendance.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and service providers to ensure events and activities are delivered efficiently.
  • Assist with the collection, collation and extraction of data from various Council systems for regular reporting purposes.
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports and data summaries to support business planning and operational requirements.
  • Ensure information is accurately recorded and readily accessible across relevant systems and databases.
  • Provide general administrative support to the team, including document management, correspondence and coordination of priorities.
  
Essential:
  • 2+ years experience in an administration support role within local government or working in a politically sensitive environment
  • Previous experience with TechOne, Content Manager/TRIM, Authority or Pathway highly regarded
