Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for an Business Support Officer.
Contract: 3 months | Immediate Start
Hourly Pay Rate: $45 p/h + Super
Responsibilities:
- Deliver administrative and operational assistance to the business unit, including handling inbound calls, managing correspondence, taking meeting minutes, and processing payments where required.
- Provide a high standard of customer service while building and maintaining strong professional relationships with stakeholders.
- Monitor and ensure all properties recorded within Council systems comply with essential fire safety service requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within Council’s fire safety essential services register.
- Prepare and issue infringement notices in cases of non-compliance.
- Perform accurate data entry and manage databases and Council systems, including raising purchase orders and compiling monthly reporting data.
- Offer informed advice and practical solutions to both internal teams and external customers.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks and competing requests from various stakeholders, ensuring timely and professional delivery.
Essential:
- 2+ years experience in an administration support role within local government or working in a politically sensitive environment
- Previous experience with TechOne, Content Manager/TRIM, Authority or Pathway highly regarded
