This council is seeking an experienced Asset Data & System Analyst (Road Corridor) to play a key leadership role in managing, developing and continuously improving Council’s road and drainage asset data, systems and spatial capabilities.
  
This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, performance and strategic use of asset and GIS systems to support evidence-based decision making, infrastructure renewal, and long-term network sustainability.
  
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate field data capture, inspections and condition assessments for road, drainage and bridge assets.
  • Manage and improve road infrastructure asset management systems, including pavement management and renewal planning tools.
  • Develop, maintain and govern road and drainage asset registers in line with legislative, financial and reporting requirements.
  • Provide specialist technical advice on asset systems, GIS and spatial data to Roads Branch management.
  • Manage consultants and contractors delivering asset data capture, condition assessments and specialist studies.
  • Develop and implement innovative spatial and digital solutions, including GIS, mobility tools, Open Data, 3D modelling, BIM, drone and LiDAR technologies.
  • Act as data custodian for road infrastructure GIS layers and contribute asset analysis and reporting across Council and external stakeholders.
  • Promote best-practice asset management principles and continuous improvement across systems, data and processes.
  
  
Successful Candidate
  • An Associate Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, or a minimum of 7 years’ experience in roads, drainage and infrastructure asset management.
  • Strong experience in road and drainage asset management systems, asset data governance and renewal planning.
  • Advanced skills in GIS (preferably ESRI), asset management systems, databases and spatial analysis.
  • Proven project management experience delivering technical projects on time and within budget.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear technical advice to a range of stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to mentor others and drive continuous improvement.
  • Project Management and/or BIM qualifications (desirable).
  
  
Mandatory Requirements
  • Current QLD White Card (Construction Industry Safety Induction).
  • Current Class C Driver License.
