Asset Manager
Full-time | For-Purpose Organisation | $130,000-$150,000 + Super + Salary Packaging (DOE)An established not-for-profit organisation is looking for an experienced Asset Manager to lead the transformation of its asset management function.
With an ageing portfolio and increasing demand for long-term planning, this newly created opportunity will see you review existing assets, strengthen systems and processes, and develop an asset management approach that supports informed investment decisions for years to come.

The Role
Reporting into the executive team, you'll take ownership of reviewing the current asset portfolio and establishing the foundations of a contemporary asset management function.
You'll assess existing asset information, identify gaps, develop lifecycle and renewal plans, and implement systems and processes that provide greater visibility across the portfolio.
Working closely with finance, operations and external contractors, you'll help shape future capital investment priorities while ensuring assets continue to support quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess the existing property and asset portfolio
- Develop and implement an organisation-wide asset management strategy
- Build lifecycle plans and long-term capital renewal forecasts
- Improve the quality and integrity of asset registers and supporting data
- Establish fit-for-purpose asset management policies, frameworks and processes
- Identify asset risks and prioritise investment based on condition and criticality
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to align asset planning with operational needs
- Support future capital works planning and business case development
- Drive continuous improvement across asset management systems and reporting
About You
You're an experienced asset management professional who enjoys creating structure where it doesn't yet exist.
You understand that good asset management is about more than maintaining buildings, it's about enabling organisations to make informed decisions that maximise the life of their assets while supporting the people who rely on them.
You'll bring both strategic thinking and a practical, hands-on approach, with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver meaningful change.
Experience Required
- Demonstrated experience managing property or infrastructure assets across complex portfolios
- Experience developing asset management strategies, frameworks and lifecycle plans
- Strong understanding of capital planning, renewal forecasting and asset risk
- Experience improving asset data, systems and reporting
- Knowledge of asset management principles and best practice
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience within aged care, community housing, healthcare, education or another purpose-driven organisation will be highly regarded
