AO7 Principal Business Analyst – ICT Transition
Contract: Immediate start to 30 June 2026

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced AO7 Principal Business Analyst to lead a highly targeted ICT transition project supporting specialist scientific applications within the Health network. This is a short-term, high-impact role requiring autonomy, technical expertise, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders under tight deadlines.

This project involves mapping dependencies, assessing connectivity, and supporting MVP hardware for high-risk applications. You will have the opportunity to shape ICT solutions while working closely with technical teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate workshops and consultations to elicit, analyse, and document complex business requirements.
Collaborate with technical teams to design and evaluate IT solutions that meet business needs and align with enterprise architectures and government policies.
Identify, analyse, and optimise business processes using best-practice modelling techniques to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
Contribute to governance, risk, and quality assurance by assessing and mitigating IT-related business risks.
Produce clear technical documentation, reports, and strategic recommendations.
Advanced skills in eliciting and analysing business requirements using workshops, interviews, prototyping, and process modelling (BPMN, process flow diagrams).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to propose effective solutions, develop business cases, and provide strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications in business analysis (e.g., Entry Certificate in Business Analysis, Certification of Capability in Business Analysis, CBAP) or a related discipline.
Working knowledge of BABOK® and requirements classification schema is highly regarded.
Health-related experience and familiarity with highly specialist scientific applications are essential.
