About the Role:
Public Sector People are currently recruiting for an AO6 Senior Advisor to join a key State Government office supporting the Deputy Director-General. This contract role will suit a detail-focused and experienced Executive Assistant or Governance Officer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in quality assurance and high-level document coordination.
This is a full time agency temporary role until 8th August with potential to extend.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-level executive and administrative support to the Deputy Director-General and their office.
- Coordinate, review and quality assure a wide range of correspondence and communication materials before progressing to approval.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, the Office of the Director-General, and external partners to ensure smooth workflow and escalation of matters as required.
- Oversee the timely delivery of briefing notes, hot issue briefs, reports, and formal correspondence.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of departmental structure, key contacts, and ministerial protocols.
- Ensure all materials are accurate, professional, and compliant with public sector governance standards.
- Support special projects and confidential initiatives on behalf of the Deputy Director-General.
- Assist with diary management, meeting coordination, and general office operations.
- Contribute to a culture of safety, respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
About You: - Previous experience in an executive support or governance-based role, ideally within government.
- Strong eye for detail with experience in proofreading, formatting, and quality assurance of high-level documentation.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage sensitive matters with discretion.
- Familiarity with ministerial and government processes is highly desirable.
Eligibility Requirements: - Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid visa with work rights.
- Current C Class driver’s licence.
