Public Sector People are recruiting an experienced ICT Procurement Officer (AO5) to support a Queensland Government agency in delivering high‑quality procurement, licensing and contract management outcomes across their digital and technology environment.

About the Role

As the ICT Procurement Officer, you will support the Digital, Information and Technology team by coordinating ICT procurement activities, managing contract renewals, and ensuring compliance with Queensland Government procurement frameworks and licensing standards.

You will work closely with internal business units, procurement teams and external vendors to support sourcing, contract establishment and ongoing vendor management. Your work will directly contribute to organisational governance, audit readiness and effective technology operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely, accurate and expert advice on ICT procurement, contract management and licensing matters.
  • Lead and manage end‑to‑end ICT procurement processes, including planning, sourcing, evaluation and contract establishment.
  • Develop, negotiate and manage ICT contracts and vendor relationships to achieve value‑for‑money and mitigate organisational risk.
  • Administer and oversee IT licensing, renewals, compliance monitoring and vendor engagement.
  • Coordinate software audits and contract performance reviews, ensuring compliance obligations are met.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and contract records to support governance, reporting and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with whole‑of‑government frameworks and approval processes.
  • Provide administrative support as required and contribute to continuous improvement across procurement processes.
About You 

You will be successful in this role if you bring:
  • Experience managing ICT procurement projects or contracts in a government or regulated environment.
  • Qualifications in procurement, contract management or ICT (Level 2 procurement certification or equivalent desirable).
  • Strong understanding of ICT environments, licensing requirements and contract management platforms (e.g., TechnologyOne CiAnywhere).
  • Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using the full Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
