Public Sector People is recruiting for an AO4 Grants Support Officer to join a Queensland Government Department on a 6-month temporary assignment, with an immediate start available.

This role sits within the Programs and Funding unit and supports the effective administration of grants across Queensland.

About the role

As the AO4 Grants Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of programs through the administration of provider funding, contracts, and performance management via the online grants management system (SmartyGrants).

You’ll work as part of a collaborative team committed to promoting equity and excellence in education services across the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the workflow of provider applications, service agreements, renewals, claims, and adjustments.
  • Research and analyse business processes to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support the management of funding rounds and contracts to achieve strategic program objectives.
  • Provide advice on policy, planning, financial systems, and legislative matters relevant to funding and grants.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, external agencies, and non-government organisations to ensure alignment with program goals.
  • Apply sound project management and customer service principles to deliver quality outcomes.
About You
  • Demonstrated experience in program or grants administration within government or a similar environment.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with an ability to interpret policies and manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and proficiency in online management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to public sector values, diversity, and inclusion.
