Public Sector People are partnering with a QLD State Government Department to recruit an AO3 Finance Officer on an initial 3 month contract basis. This role will commence in January and is based in Cannon Hill.
- $51.12 per hour plus super

About the Role:
You'll play a vital role in ensuring the financial success of our clients infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Management:
- Undertake daily financial transactions, including timesheet processing and revenue claims.
- Monitor project budgets and provide timely financial reports to management.
- Reconcile financial transactions in SAP R/3.
- Prepare accurate financial documentation for procurement and other purposes.
- Procurement and Inventory:
- Manage the procurement process, from requisitioning to supplier management.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocktake activities.
- Resolve supplier issues and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Project Administration:
- Provide administrative support to project teams, including document control and meeting coordination.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and company policies.
- Assist with the preparation of employee timesheets and resolve payroll discrepancies.
What You'll Bring: - Essential Skills:
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
- Proficiency in SAP S4/HANA or similar ERP systems
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of Queensland Government financial processes
- Qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field
