Public Sector People are recruiting for an AO3 Procurement Support Officer to join a QLD State Government Department on an initial 3 Month Contract with a potential extension. 
  • Cannon Hill Location (Parking Available)
  • $49.40 per hour plus super
  • 3 Month Contract + Extension
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the procurement team throughout the end-to-end procurement process.
  • Assist with the preparation of procurement documentation, including purchase requisitions, tender documents, and contracts.
  • Maintain and update procurement records, databases, and systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, workshops, and presentations related to procurement activities.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., departments requiring goods/services) and external suppliers to gather information and facilitate the procurement process.
  • Assist with the processing of purchase orders, invoices, and payments, ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
  • Support the monitoring of supplier performance and contract compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation of procurement reports and data analysis as required.
  • Manage and maintain procurement filing systems (electronic and physical).
  • Handle general inquiries and provide administrative support to the procurement team.
Skill Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support, preferably within a procurement or related environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and document preparation.     
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
