Public Sector People are recruiting for an AO3 Procurement Support Officer to join a QLD State Government Department on an initial 3 Month Contract with a potential extension.

- $49.40 per hour plus super
- 3 Month Contract + Extension
Key Responsibilities: - Provide administrative and operational support to the procurement team throughout the end-to-end procurement process.
- Assist with the preparation of procurement documentation, including purchase requisitions, tender documents, and contracts.
- Maintain and update procurement records, databases, and systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, workshops, and presentations related to procurement activities.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., departments requiring goods/services) and external suppliers to gather information and facilitate the procurement process.
- Assist with the processing of purchase orders, invoices, and payments, ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
- Support the monitoring of supplier performance and contract compliance.
- Assist with the preparation of procurement reports and data analysis as required.
- Manage and maintain procurement filing systems (electronic and physical).
- Handle general inquiries and provide administrative support to the procurement team.
Skill Requirements: - Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support, preferably within a procurement or related environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and document preparation.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
