About the Role

As a Credit Management Officer, you will provide professional customer relations and administrative support for accounts receivable, credit management, and receipting activities. Your work will help ensure accurate financial processes and support the recovery of overdue debts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with all accounts receivable duties, including:
    • Processing sundry debtor invoices, credit notes, journals, and payment transfers.
    • Maintaining debtor accounts and associations, including basic debt recovery and credit alerts.
    • Preparing and issuing rate payment arrangements and responding to related enquiries.
    • Liaising with internal teams and external service providers to provide timely and accurate information.
  • Support end-of-month account reconciliations and data integrity checks.
  • Handle customer enquiries with discretion and professionalism, ensuring compliance with privacy legislation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and policies.
  • Participate in creating a safe and healthy workplace culture.
What We’re Looking For
  • Certificate III in Business Administration, Finance, Local Government, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in an administrative, finance, or customer-focused environment.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn financial systems.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Criminal history check and pre-employment medical assessment required.
Contract Details
  • Duration: Until 31 March 2026
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: 36.25 hours per week with a rostered day off every second week
  • Pay Rate: $38.05 per hour + superannuation
  • Location: Sunshine Coast
Desirable
  • Certificate IV in Business Administration or similar.
  • Knowledge of local government legislation and processes.
  • Current “C” class driver’s licence.
