Accounts Receivable Officer
$40 p/hour + super | 38 hours per week | Northern Melbourne
ASAP Start – 2-Month Temporary Contract | Hybrid (3 days office, 2 days WFH)

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our client, a local council in Northern Melbourne, on a temporary contract. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive and community-focused organisation where you can contribute to meaningful financial operations while enjoying hybrid flexibility.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing daily receipting, credits, refunds, and reconciliations
  • Handling invoice uploads, debtor account creation, and bulk processing
  • Coordinating direct debit files, Centrepay sign-ups, and Carelink integrations
  • Preparing and finalising month-end processes, including ageing reports and period close
  • Applying unapplied receipts and credits manually when required

About You:
We are seeking a motivated professional with:
  • 2–3 years of solid experience in Accounts Receivable
  • Background working within Local Council or Healthcare settings
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills

This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a finance team.
