Workforce Analyst
on a temp contract until the end of December with opportunity to extend.

- Attractive pay rates from $87 p/h + 12% Super (PAYG)
- Brisbane Northern suburbs
- Initial contract until end of December with opportunity to extend to March 2027
- WFH up to two days per week (pending performance)
What's involved
Workforce Strategy and Analytics delivers workforce strategy, planning, and analytic services that contribute to achieving a highly capable, contemporary, and connected workforce. The Workforce Analytics unit has a primary function to deliver staff and establishment reporting and data to meet departmental and external requirements.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Transform this data into descriptive, predictive, and interactive analytics that offer workforce insights, to support the department’s executive decision-making and strategic workforce planning.
- Manage the research, analysis and preparation of high quality workforce information and reporting in line with departmental and external reporting requirements to meet the needs of key stakeholders.
- Manage and ensure workforce data governance, including audit recommendations, security and other control mechanisms in the delivery of data and reporting products to ensure accurate information.
- Provide high level advice, with data driven insights, on a range of strategic HR issues and support the development of key strategies and priorities to build workforce capacity and capability.
What we are looking for: - Government experience and available with 1 week notice
- The ideal candidate for this role would have had leadership experience. Although there are no direct reports, this role is a senior position in the workforce analytics team and would benefit with a degree of exposure or direct experience in leadership capabilities.
- Knowledge and/or experience with Human Resources (HR) data warehouses, SQL databases and data integration across multiple platforms, (i.e. Power BI with SQL Server, MS Excel, and other business intelligence tools) for the delivery of reporting products and dashboards.
- Experience in managing data extraction and analysis, and presenting workforce information (i.e. staff, payroll, establishment data) for decision-making in a large complex organisation.
