Public Sector People are working with a government organisation in Brisbane, who are seeking a experienced Workplace Health, Safety & Well Being specialist on a Temp contract (EOFY) + Extensions with opportunity to go direct with the client afterwards and apply for the permanent position within the Team.

The role:

Role title: A06 Senior Safety Project Officer
Pay: $ 76.50 per hour + 11.5% Super
Location: Kedron, Brisbane
Client: State Government
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: until 30th June 2025 with possible extension
Hours: 36.5 hours per week Monday to Friday - 2 days WFH

What you will be doing:

Coordinate and manage a broad range of health, safety and wellbeing projects to ensure continuous improvement of the department’s Work Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS) to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
Assist with the management and implementation of multiple initiatives to ensure quality project outcomes meet stakeholder objectives
Undertake research and analysis and interpret and solve problems to support the development and implementation of various health, safety and wellbeing projects, including identifying opportunities for improvement in strategies and service delivery

About you:

5+ years senior experience in managing WHS
Fosters an inclusive workplace where health safety and wellbeing is promoted and prioritised.
