Job Description

Public Sector People are currently working in partnership with council in Melbourne who have an urgent requirement for a Transport Engineer to step into an initial 3 month temporary assignment with the option of a further extension pending performance and budget.  Reporting into the Team Leader of Traffic & Transport, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a range of quality services to the community in the enhancement of transport infrastructure.
  
Requirements include:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering and/or extensive experience in municipal transport engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years traffic engineering exposure
  • Demonstrated ability in the following areas:
    • Transport and Parking issues
    • Policy Review and Development
    • Development of Blackspot Applications
    • Provision of Engineering Advice, incorporating; traffic, drainage, road design, construction, street cleansing and waste management issues on planning and building development referrals
    • Design and Supervision
