About the position:
As the Team Leader of Building Services, working collaboratively with the Coordinator of Health and Building Services, you will be tasked with leading and developing a small team as well as being an advocate of delivering enforcement matters through education.  
As a Building Inspector and/or Surveyor you will use your technical knowledge and expertise to oversee enforcement matters, ensuring council meets the objectives of the relevant building legislation in relation to buildings and works as well as providing technical guidance to a range of stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Tertiary education in the field of Building Surveying.
  • Registration as a Building Inspector – Unlimited as issued with the VBA.
  • Ideally gained experience in a leadership role and/or have successfully mentored others in the past.
  • The ability to manage and prioritise your own workload including daily site inspections.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
