Job Description

Public Sector People are working in partnership with Bayside City Council in the search for an experienced Team Leader Building Projects.

This role will be responsible for the effective management & delivery of the Councils building projects portfolio. With a Capital Works budget of over $50M per annum, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project management professional.  
Duties will include but not limited to:
  • Leading & Managing the small building projects team
  • Develop, deliver & implement Capital Building Projects to time, quality & budget
  • Effectively manage key stakeholders both internally & externally
  • Perform contract management & administrative tasks in line with systems & processes
  • Maintaining Council standards & expectations in line with compliance and statutory requirements
Requirements include:
  • Proven experience & detailed knowledge of Building Project Management within Council
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction or Architecture
  • Ability to mentor and lead a team by example
  • Strong internal & external stakeholder engagement skills 
  • Thorough understanding of Local Council processes & procedures
