About the role: 
Public Sector People are seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer to join our local government client on a long term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an intermediate to senior-level experienced Bridge Engineer to work in a high performing design team. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design of bridges, and work with other bridge engineers and drafters
• Coordinate and hands on bridge design with other disciplines in a coordinated design team
• Provide input to proposals for small to medium sized projects and pursue opportunities with clients, as directed by design manager
• Preparation of structural engineering investigations and designs
• Perform site inspections and prepare site surveillance reports
• Technical report writing following both client and GHD guidelines.

Key Skills: 

• 5+ years' experience in the design of bridges of reinforced, pre-tensioned and post-tensioned concrete, steel, steel composite and timber construction
• Job management experience within a consultancy environment
• Demonstrated technical capability in steel and concrete bridges and proven success in the delivery of projects to meet client's expectations.
• Demonstrated report writing and communication skills
• Good working knowledge of state road authority design criteria for bridges in particular for Sydney Trains & TfNSW, as well as AS5100
