About the role:

Public Sector People are currently inviting applications for the role of Senior People and Culture Officer to join a Council in the Western suburbs. This opportunity is a temporary contract for 3 months starting Monday 8th April.

Main Duties:
  • Provide generalist Human Resources advice and support to management and staff in relation to all aspects of HR, including contracts of employment, award and enterprise agreement interpretation, performance management and organisation change management.
  • Oversee and continuously improve the end to end recruitment process, including the provision of guidance, advice and support to key stakeholders
Requirements include:
  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management or relevant discipline or substantial People and Culture experience working in a similar role
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate the end to end recruitment process for a large and diverse organisation, with a key focus on maintaining a consistently high standard of practice
  • Experience in understanding, interpreting and applying contracts of employment, Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Lead and manage a small team of administration officers with a focus on setting goals, developing work plans and establishing development plans
