Job Description

Public Sector People (PSP) are currently looking to speak to a Senior Business Analyst/ Project Manager join a Local Government on a contract. 
  • Remote working available
  • Immediate start date
  • 3-month contract initially, potential to be extended due to internal opportunity
  • $80 an hour + super
  • Working on two exciting projects!
Key Criteria: 
  • This dual role has the expectation to provide your expertise in the skillsets of a business analyst whilst managing projects within the Business Transformation Program.
  • This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience as a Business Analyst and transitioning or has transitioned into a Project Management role. The knowledge of Project Management must be there and this is NOT an entry level role. 
Business Analyst duties:
  • Undertake and manage business requirements, gathering and analysis duties including workshops, meetings and interviews.
  • Undertake market research.
  • Identify gaps in resources, datasets, skills and other aspects relevant to the successful implementation of solutions.
  • Develop business specifications that clearly describe required system interfaces, changes, system structures, data flows etc.
Project Manager duties:
  • Working on two exciting internal projects with innovative technology, you will be required to report and monitor the progress of the projects and ensure they remain within the allocated budget.
  • Identify and manage risks relating to the implementation of the projects and tasks.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, management, and vendors to ensure appropriate resources are allocated to projects.
Requirements Include:

The following qualifications and/or experience are required for the position:
  • Related Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering high profile corporate projects.
  • Expert ability to analyse business processes, model information flows, identify opportunities for improvements and map data requirements.
  • Ability to organise own time efficiently and effectively.
  • Outstanding communication skills with excellent emotional intelligence, able to identify the correct approach to each stakeholder.
  • Will be required to have a National Police check AND Working With Children Check.
