Job Description

Public Sector People are working in partnership with Nillumbik Shire Council located in Greensborough Victoria, in the search for an experienced Roads and Drainage Maintenance Coordinator.

  • Band 8 Salary Range: $109,000 - $122,000 pa + Super

The Role:
As the Roads and Drainage Maintenance Coordinator you will provide leadership to the maintenance team, increase community satisfaction with respect to infrastructure maintenance and be a specialist in the delivery of road, footpath and drainage maintenance services.
Your ability to work collaboratively across the organisation, build relationships with key stakeholders and community and technical ability with operational service delivery will be critical in this role as you will need to:
  • Increase community satisfaction with respect to roads, drainage, footpaths and infrastructure maintenance and repairs
  • Delivery of civil infrastructure services in accordance with Council's Road Management Plan
  • Plan and develop civil infrastructure services that align with the Best Value Principles and that meet the future needs of the community
  • Provide strategic advice to the organisation with respect to the civil infrastructure services
  • Management of the workforce in accordance with Council's policies, procedures and legislative requirements in the areas of human resources, occupational health and safety, equal opportunity, anti-discrimination and other industrial instruments
Requirements Include:
  • Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or a related discipline
  • Substantial experience in managing, developing and delivery of civil infrastructure services
  • Staff management experience in operational civil infrastructure service workforce
  • Demonstrated knowledge of civil infrastructure services and contract management practices
  • Highly developed communications skills and ability to manage stakeholders
  • Ability to write and present specialist reports and briefings
  • Change management skills
