Public Sector People is proudly and exclusively partnering with this progressive council to appoint a Risk Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Executive Officer Risk, Infringements and Governance, this exciting role will have a clear mandate to lead the team to ensure a risk management culture is driven through and within the organisation.
Whilst leading a performing team, your role will be to ensure:
  • Create a customer service culture
  • Drive cross functional performance
  • Drive efficiency across risk profiling
  • Implement improvement efforts
Furthermore, you will look to streamline processes to reduce complexity, whilst leading from the front with your positive and enthusiastic personality, be adaptive, flexible, and agile with your approach.  The role will task you to help drive and embrace change and be open to working collaboratively across other councils and key stakeholders as required.
To be considered for the role, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in risk management, insurance management, law or a related discipline. You will need to demonstrate your proven ability to develop plans, policies, and drive performance criteria. Coupled with competency in the use of relevant technology, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a sound understand of risk management principle and practices.  The ability to lead and manage a team with strong problem solving, strategic thinking and sound judgement capabilities will be essential. A current driver’s licence will be required as well as probity checks. The commencement of the role will be based upon COVID-19 Government Safety guidelines.
