Job Description

Public Sector People (PSP) are currently looking to speak to an Records Officer or also known as an Information Management Officer join a Local Government on a contract.  
  • 3 - 6 month contract (potential for extension)
  • East Melbourne Suburb Location
  • $30- $33 an hour + super 
  • Opportunity for growth within the role. 
  • Hybrid working style... 2-3 days in the office and work from home
  • Flexible start date
Key Criteria: 
  • Registration of electronic documents and knowledge of record management within Local govt and their processes.
  • A clear understanding of legislation relevant to document/ record keeping (including EDM) and information access.
  • Able to deliver excellent customer service and support the Information Management officer in providing leadership within the team by setting high standards of performance.
  • Digitisation of hardcopy mail and dispatching Australia post mail
  • Two roles currently available both with great opportunities and potential for career growth. There could be a potential Team Leader position available for the right candidate and for this role, they will be looking for someone with leadership experience! 
Requirements Include:

The following qualifications and/or experience are required for the position:
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to prioritise.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • An outgoing and friendly disposition who works well in a team. 
  • Experience or a clear understanding of Local Govt and their requirements/ processes essential.
  • Able to use the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Work and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of legislation and standards relating to electronic/ hardcopy document archiving and record management.
  • Current drivers license.
