Job Description

This council in the northern suburbs of Melbourne requires a Records Officer from the 19th of February until the 15th of May 2020 to assist with mail, enquiries and to perform records duties. This position requires somebody to work with minimal supervision so we are seeking somebody with relevant experience who can really hit the ground running when they start. The pay rate is $30 + Super per hour.
  
Main duties:
  • Opening, scanning and registering incoming mail
  • Arranging orders and picking up files from offsite storage facility
  • Responding to customer enquiries
  • Registering and actioning emails into RM8 (HP Records Manager with Lotus Notes)
  
The client is looking for these qualities:
  • Experience using TRIM
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Excellent working knowledge and an ability to apply requirements of the Public Records Act
  • Demonstrated experience in records management and Public Records Classification and indexing skills
