About the role: 
Public Sector People are currently seeking a Project Officer with a civil engineering background to join our local council client. This role will provide support to Senior Project Managers across Capital Works Projects at council. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Experienced in performing Site Inspection/ technical investigations,
• Preparing and execution of engineering report,
• Develop Concept and execute Design for projects (stormwater drainage pit, carparks, safety refuges),
• Prepare Estimate for minor projects (car park, drainage pipe), and undertake cost control and follow budgets,
• Assist in planning and co-ordination of works within the project team and according to budget, program, and project objectives,
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities,
• Undertake technical review of submitted documents, with excellent skill in reading and interpreting engineering drawings,
• Microsoft Office & Microsoft Project, Six-Map &

Desirable Requirements

• Experience of working within Local Government in a similar role
• Excellent communication and written skills
